Updates made

So, I finally updated my blog. Sorry, I'm not the best blogger. Not too much has gone on in our lives. We've been busy with weddings, showers, etc. I would like to ask that you remember my Uncle in your prayers who just found out last week that he has end-stage liver cancer and there is nothing that can be done for him. He was sent home on hospice care and not given a good prognosis. He and my Aunt live in Greenbrier, although originally from Forrest City, to be close to their grandchildren. Please pray for him and the rest of my family. Hope everyone has a great week and enjoys this beautiful weather!

Kerri's Wedding

Last night Kerri Turner got married in Memphis at Felecia Suzanne's. It was absolutely beautiful and such a neat idea. My pictures from the ceremony didn't turn out well, but Teresa Lee was the photographer so you'll have to check them out on her website once she gets them posted. Kerri married such a nice guy, Mike Stevenson, who Corey and I actually met when we went and looked at a car a few years ago. Small world. We're so happy for them!

Campin' Fever

Since the weather has been so nice these past few days I've been wanting to go camping. So, Corey threw together a last-minute camp-out at the farm Friday night. Tent, campfire, hot dogs, smores, & MOSQUITOS!! Yeah, I didn't really think about the mosquitos, but, we still had a good time. Mickey and Jessica brought Parker and Neal and Becca brought Sol, overalls and all! They were so cute and really liked the fire. It was a little past Parker's bedtime but he was a trooper and toughed it out. I was so glad that I was able to be a part of their 1st campout--tear ;)! Football fever

So, I took my camera to little Johnny's football game the other night but didn't even take any pictures of him playing! But, he played on defense and then went in as QB. The family went crazy (well, me, mom and memomma:) ) because he threw a pass for a 2-point conversion and it was awesome!! We were so proud of him. He played it cool afterwards and it was so cute wathcing all the guys get excited and congratulate him.

Becca, Neal and Sol were there too. Sol was so cute throwing his arms up in the air and cheering the Jackets on.

Beach Bash

Marsha and Brett had a beach bash party at Mickey and Jessica's house a couple of weekends ago. It was lots of fun and great to see some old high school friends!

Birthday

Trey's 22nd birthday was Sept. 12th, same as my Aunt Debbie's, and he came home from Nashville to celebrate with the fam. Chef-Boyar-Dad grilled tenderloin and it was delish, of course! Trey's favorite thing in the whole world is cupcakes so Cathy Helton made him a cupcake cake, shaped like a cupcake. Sooo good!

Big 8th Grader

Tonight Little Johnny had his 1st football game in Forrest City. To us he's getting so big, but out on the field he's one of the smallest players! He was one of tonight's team captains and we just thought that was great ;) He's #15 and by far the cutest guy out there!! Here are some pics, sorry they are out of order.

Reason (s) to celebrate

Last Friday Corey and I went to Memphis and spent the day. I had a post-op visit with my doctor and also received the pathology results from surgery--100% cancer free! Thank you to everyone for your prayers, support and encouragement during this scary time in our lives. So, after dragging Corey along all day he suggested that we just stay the night in Memphis at The Madison, our favorite hotel, to celebrate my good news from the doctor and also for our 3 year anniversary. It's next month but we have something going on every weekend with parties, weddings, etc. So, I thought 'what the heck'. We got a room at The Madison, ate dinner at Grill 83, another fave, walked across the street to Walgreen's and bought a toothbrush and toothpaste and just relaxed the rest of the night. We went out on the rooftop but it was surprisingly cold and very windy, so that didn't last long. We had a great time and enjoyed our spontaneous day!!
